Backcountry Discovery Routes
Idaho BDR Map (IDBDR)
A BDR motorcycle map is an essential supplement to the free BDR GPS tracks when navigating BDR routes. This map contains the main route, detailed section descriptions, and information on points of interest, gas stops, seasonal weather, elevation profiles, and much more.
The Idaho BDR is a 1,250-mile route that starts in the old mining town of Jarbidge, Nevada, and runs north across Idaho to the Canadian border at Porthill. From the rangelands of southern Idaho, it climbs into the Boise National Forest past Anderson Ranch Reservoir and the Trinity Lakes, then continues through the backcountry towns of Yellow Pine, Warren, and Burgdorf Hot Springs. Farther north, it follows two historic backroads, the Magruder Corridor and the Lolo Motorway, before crossing the Panhandle through Avery, Wallace, and Clark Fork. Expect long stretches of twisty forest roads, limited cell service, and few services between towns.
Waterproof, tear-resistant and fade-resistant construction of this map ensures a lifetime of rides. A special set of all BDR route maps is available as a separate item.
Map: Fourth Edition, dated April 2024.
